J. William Orr
Is the popular postmaster of South Solon, appointed in 1897 by McKinley. Native of the county and lived here all his life. Prominent as Republican, and as a builder and contractor, served as corporation treasurer, has done more to boom and build up South Solon than any other man. Is a prominent Odd Fellow and Junior American Mechanic, very popular with all.
